  • Furniture Assembly – Assembly of all types of furniture, from flat-pack to more complex pieces, done carefully for stability, alignment, and safe use. 


  • Custom Blinds Installation – Measuring, fitting, and installing blinds or shades to ensure a precise fit and neat appearance. 


  • Custom Glass Replacement & Installation – Measuring, cutting, and installing glass for windows, doors, or panels to ensure a safe, precise fit and clean finish. 


  • Interior Repairs & Maintenance – Maintenance and repairs for walls, doors, cabinets, and fixtures to keep your home safe, functional, and comfortable. 


  • Minor Electrical Works – Minor electrical tasks such as replacing outlets, switches, or light fixtures. All work is performed safely within the limits allowed for non-licensed work. For major electrical projects, we recommend a licensed electrician in compliance with ESA regulations. 


  • Minor Plumbing Works – Minor plumbing tasks including fixing leaks, replacing faucets, or unclogging drains. We focus only on work allowed for non-licensed professionals and advise hiring a licensed plumber for major installations or code-required work. 


  • Exterior Repairs & Upkeep – Maintenance and repairs of siding, doors, windows, fences, and other exterior elements to protect your home and maintain its appearance. 


  • Home Security Enhancements – Installation of basic locks or small security upgrades. Major alarm systems or monitoring installations require a licensed professional, in line with local regulations. 


  • Garage Door Repair & Installation – Repair or installation of garage doors and openers, ensuring smooth, reliable operation. 


  • Custom Glass Replacement & Installation –   Repair or installation of glass for windows, doors, or panels to ensure a safe, precise fit and clean finish. 


  • Landscaping & Outdoor Care – Basic outdoor maintenance, including trimming, cleanup, and lawn care, to keep your yard neat, functional, and inviting.

  • $65/hour (2-hour minimum)
  • Best for small to mid-sized tasks or flexible projects
  • Examples: furniture assembly, pre-move prep, extra labor, landscaping help

    Additional charges (if needed):

  • Materials & handling: $65/trip (pickup, prep, delivery)
  • Parking (if required)
  • Materials at cost only — no markup

    Want full cost certainty? Our flat rate gives you one price upfront.

  • Includes parking, materials & handling fees
  • Quote valid for 30 days

Service Policy (Quick Summary)

REVIEW SERVICE & TERMS

Service & Terms

At Handyman & Design, we value clear communication, fair pricing, and professional service. These guidelines ensure a smooth experience for both clients and our team.

1. Estimates & Quotes

  • All estimates and quotes are provided in writing (email or message).
  • Quotes are valid for 30 days. 
  • Flat Rate Quotes include materials, handling, and parking fees unless otherwise stated.

2. Deposits & Payment

  • Full payment is due upon completion of work.
  • Projects over $500 require a 25% deposit before work begins.
  • Materials may require advance payment if purchased by us.
  • Accepted methods: Cash, Credit Card, e-Transfer.

3. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Please provide 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. 
  • Same-day cancellations may incur a minimum 2-hour service charge.

4. Materials & Handling

  • Materials charged at cost — no markup. 
  • Projects over $500 require a 25% deposit before work begins.

5. Non-Payment & Late Payments

  • Payment expected upon completion.
  • Late payments may incur a $25 fee. 
  • Unpaid balances beyond 14 days may be sent to small claims court.
  • Any collection or legal fees are the client’s responsibility.
